You destroyed the entire concept and point of olla irrigation by drilling holes in the pots. Now they are ineffective. Do not drill holes in your ollas people.

    An Ollas with drain holes???
Just bury them like you did without drilling holes. And put a top on them to keep bugs and such out.
You get a more constant moisture in the soil that way.

All that water he put in then just drained away down into the soil and not around those shallow rooted plants.

An Ollas would fix that problem.

Oh and you need less water if you put a few inches of mulch on that bare soil.

    HI Bill antha Dhan
    Good idea.
How long this water in a single pot will take to drain out completely ?

    2. And when do we need to water / fill the plot again.?

Considero que el agua debe filtrarse lentamente,no habia nesecidad de haber hecho los huecos tan grandes,se podia haber puesto material de zeolita en el interior para retener mas humedad,no solo en el interior de la olla y hacia fuera

I don't think water stays in those pots for days as it is clearly seen in the vedio that after adding water it immediately absorbed into the soil, as there are sooooo many holes in the pot and the pot is so small to hold the water for "few days" as told in the vedio. please correct me if I am wrong.
