at 1:34. The object tools panel has been changed and moved to the Physics tab located at the left side of the blender UI.
In the [Physics] tab you will locate the [Objects Tools] panel and under it is the [Copy from Active].

Thanks Just did this in Blender 2.8 and it worked really well. Had to hunt for the rigid body settings but found them in the object drop down – Rigid Body.

People do the duplication of the links IN OBJECT MODE! Else you end up with the chain being a single object!

I am having a problem with the top passive pivot link breaking the first of the active links so that the whole chain and ball fall to the platform. I have made various adjustments to the size and mass of the pivot link, but nothing works. The active links are 4kg each and the ball is 25kg. 18 links plus the pivot link and the ball link.
Removing 4 links makes no difference. Reducing the ball weight to 5kg merely delays when the first active link breaks. Can anyone say what is wrong?

Great tutorial, got it working on first try. I am new and using 2.8 but I cant for the world find the toolbar that has the Rigid Body Tools in it. If i press T only the standard tools like selection/move tools and meshtools (edit mode) hides or shows but that toolbar with all the settings for rigid body i cant find. I had to use F3 and search to add the functions.. I feel like i have missed something very simple but i dont know where to look 😛

Sadly its not non-destructible, if i want to change cubes with spheres i will need to redo many steps instead of just substituding a cube with a shpere just like in C4D

For those using Blender 2.8 and cannot find the "COPY FROM ACTIVE" or the RIGID BODY TOOLS: you can find it in the Object menu. Just go to the Object menu, scroll down to Rigid Body sub-menu and you'll find the Copy from Active option right there. I'm using the Blender 2.8 version released on Feb 22, I don't know if this option was available in the earlier beta versions.

Awesome tutorials. i looked around so much to find some good tutorials and i finally stopped when i read about Blender Guru somewhere on Facebook. Your videos are so concise and everything is explained so vividly.
I just finished the beginner's playlist and i'm looking forward for the intermediate playlist.
Thank you so much for creating these videos.

P.S. i find it so funny when you say ridiculous.

This is a good start on rigid physics. But when thinking more on this, I couldn't even think how to break a model into small pieces when colliding with a rigid body, but such scenes are available in movies. So make a tutorial on it. Eg:- How to smash a wine glass into small pieces using rigid physics. Thanks for the nice tutorials.

Help please! Does anyone know to get "RIGID BODY TOOL"?
because it does not appear on my Tool, I have to assign the rigid body on each object again and again.
    Thanks in advance!

I have been to lazy to learn Blender because I know it took a while to learn how to use Photoshop and Unity, But when I saw your channel I really got inspired of how easy you make it look and you explain so clear! Thank you!!

Help please, I don't know what I did, I changed the unit to metric (Blender version 2.79) and my chain and ball turned into a tiny-bity-itsy-witty-moving ball, and when I tried to add cubes to demolish…. well the cube is giant! Where did i made the left turn?

hey, I don't remember you doing this, but I joined the last link with the ball so it wouldn't move.
