You are so precious!😁Great Video! I like that explanation because I was around a lot of this mindset as a Teen (Decades ago!😂)…Girls starved to pig out later…did Anphetimines…to stuff out later…all kinds of things to stay rail thin but be able to stuff out and brag about it! Thankfully I just didn't eat all the Junk and had a nutritious conscious Mother who was gorgeous and thin and loved Salad more than any Human I know!😂😂

Yeah I’m with you. I’d rather just eat whole plant foods and do gentle exercises that feel good to my body.

Great video as always!😍 But I have a question if you’d mind helping me answer:) my brother is almost 20 and he is a decathlete, meaning he competes in 10 different track and field activities, and is training about 5-6 times a week. He is almost 6 feet tall, extremely fit and strong. I don’t get how he has 6% body fat when he only eats processed junk food and meat:/

If your body burns the same amount of calories wether you exercise or don’t how come people like my brother, michael phelps and other super athletic people can consume a humongous quantity of calorically dense animal products and remain very fit with a low body fat percentage. My brother has friends that are about the same height, age and all eat relatively the same amount and types of food as him; though over the years they haven’t done any exercise and have gained quite a large amount of weight. However my brother who regularly trains for competitions has remained very fit and skinny. If exercise doesn’t change the amount of calories you burn since your body adapts to the sudden energy consumption then why isn’t my brother fat and his friends are?

Whereas I eat plant based, pretty clean and do very mild exercises like walking or biking and I have gained more than 20lbs since going vegan… I didn’t like how I felt with the extra weight so I started trying to lose it. I began high intensity training, and kept eating the same wslf foods as always and lost the weight over that summer. Then winter rolled around and I gained about 30lbs since I could not workout with all the snow and it was too cold I didn’t feel up to it most days. Unfortunately, even though I ate the same I gained weight.

So I guess my question is why can I eat an almost perfect diet that consists of whole, low fat plant foods and gain weight if I don’t exercise whereas other people can eat thousands of calories of animal based junk food but still remain skinny due to them burning so many calories by exercising.

It so frustrating I want to believe it’s all about where your calories are coming from but in my experience I’ve noticed a calorie seems like a calorie… they all make you gain weight if you’re consuming more than you burn. And exercise is the only way to get/stay skinny. I’ve been struggling with this for so long. Sorry it’s a big comment. Thank you for being such a wonderful role model, you’re such an inspiration to me.<3 luv you emmie

Yeah I think most people who interested in fitness just worry about the calories and what they burn ..etc, I know a girl who was overweight and her health wasn't that good either, even though she ate very healthy but then she count her calories and she became so leaaan now now her diet not that healthy but it worked for her, now her health is better in general !! .. which remind me of a girl who lost 40lbs by eating chocolate too, here she is :
